Sorry guys. Odin got the server back up and running last night and I forgot to post.
There was a slight problem and there are still a few major bugs (invisible mobs, heroes list doesn't show names, etc).
The banks were somehow enabled, which was causing a major dupe issue, so I had to take the server down in an emergency to prevent me having to ban people. I have disabled banks again and the server is back up.

I will be taking the server down for some serious back-end maintenance. This will require the server to be down for a few hours. The website will be up and down during this time. Once the maintenance is completed, I will restart the game servers.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is extremely important maintenance.
This will not change the status of people who are stuck on loading. This will not bring banks back. This will not be giving items out of banks. This will not be fixing bugged spells. This is NOT a game update. This is a server machine maintenance.

You may notice that there is now a link under the "Uptime" in the Server Status panel on the right ----->
This will open a new window to our new Server Status page. This page refreshes itself every 10 seconds and is providing accurate server status information. The times are all in local time. The first time you load the page, the dates might be something like January 1, 1970... ignore that, it will fix itself once the page refreshes, it's a cookie issue that I'm working on fixing.

Be respectful to each other. Please use english in all the channels, besides the Indonesian channel, which is setup for all you guys that want to speak indonesian together!

Account Registration and Character Control - FIXED!!!

I know this has taken me a long time to get fixed, but all of the emailing has now been fixed. Users can now create accounts for the Runegard website (it requires email verification).
Once an account is created, you can now Add Characters, Remove Characters and Reset Character Passwords. This has been tested. Each of these actions will send you an email, letting you know that there has been a change on your account. The biggest part of this is that you can now recover a character if you forgot the password.
The emails for Accounts/Character Changes, will be coming from "accounts@runegard.net", which is an unmonitored email address (you will get a bounce message if you ever try to email to it).
EDIT:
If you delete a character, that character name cannot be used again until we do a character purge. We are still discussing among the team as to how often these will be. So far it looks like it might be monthly.

Crafting Systems Additions
|

|
|
The Crafting system has been completed with the following changes :
- You can now pick a maximum of 2 Manufacturing Crafts. Manufacturing crafts are : Tailor, Carpenter, Jewelcrafter, Bladesmith, Armorer. Your maximum of Gathering and Refining professions is currently not limited.
- You can pick and abandon a manufacturing craft through the Crafting Interface. You can find the Crafting Interface by pressing F1. You need to be a minimum of level 10 to be able to access it.
- Abandoning a craft will not erase your recipes but WILL erase all your skill points and make you a beginner again, PERMANENTLY (or until you decide to pick up this craft again). If You decide to pick up the craft again, you WILL have to level it up again to be able to creates your crafted recipes once more.
- Finally, the Crafting Interface will now let you assess your current Skill level in any Gathering, Refining or Manufacturing craft. I hope you enjoy this addition which will let you situate your current progress in a craft leveling hopefully a little bit easier.

Runegard hits 110 connected players

Our population grows ever stronger and we recently hit a symbolic barrier as we managed to pass a hundred simultaneous connections to the servers.
The Runegard Team would like to thank all those Alpha-Testers that have devoted their time to help us grow and expand.

We apologize for the extended down time for the server. We appreciate the patience.
Currently there are some core server bugs causing the server to crash, so we currently have the server in a suspended inoperable state to resolve the issues. Odin has a lot of work to do, however we will let you all know when we will be back up and running.
Keep checking back for updates!
OK, well the server is up for testing, however there may be crashes. Expect them. Don't be surprised if it takes a while for the server to come back up when it crashes, there is a lot of work to be done.

We underwent maintenance today to help us figure out the last few crashes and bugs remaining in the core. We have switched over to Linux, but backed up everything so your characters have not been lost nor have been the website files.
Website is currently back up and running, obviously since you can read this news, and the server will be back up in the next few hours, as we have to complete a few details such as compiling for Linux.
Please be patient and Runegard will be back up in no time.

Also - I have fixed the "Delete Character" page. The part where it says that it's sent an email is a lie still. Working on that part yet. I will also be working on fixing the password reset tool too
NOTE: You cannot create a character with the same name as a character deleted. You cannot transfer a character to another account. You cannot recover a deleted character. You have been warned. Use this feature carefully.

Runegard has just introduced our version of the 'Exp seller'. He can be found hanging out around 127, 35 Uruzgard.
Requirements:
Level 99
50,000,000 exp for 100 vita or 50 mana
Sidenote: The different tiers you'll experience represent different parts of the game as they are released. Right now we're currently in tier1, and later on once we feel ready we'll release tier2 and so on.
Currently tier1 is capped at 20,000HP/10,000MP
